Dr. Benson is originally from Bowling Green, Kentucky, and attended Georgetown College in Kentucky where he earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky, and subsequent residency in orthopedic surgery at Kansas University Medical Center. Dr. Benson has special interests in the areas of total joint reconstruction, sports medicine, trauma and fracture care. His passion for education in the field of orthopedics is evident in his multiple presentations from the Future's Symposium in Vienna, Austria, to the Peltier Orthopedic Lectureship in Kansas City, Kansas, among many others. His scientific publications range from fracture care to cement augmentation techniques and many others in between.
Dr. Benson specializes in caring for musculoskeletal conditions for patients 6 months of age and up. He uses both surgical and non-surgical approaches to treat musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, arthritis and hand and wrist conditions. As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Benson has a special interest in the areas of hand surgery, joint replacement and fracture care. He believes in continual education so that he can provide the best possible care.

Justin Jones, M.D., earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed his residency at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, and further advanced his expertise through a fellowship at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Jones is an experienced orthopedic surgeon, providing care to patients aged 10 years and older. Dr. Jones performs a range of orthopedic care and procedures, including hip and knee replacements and fracture care. He uses both surgical and non-surgical approaches to treat musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, arthritis and fracture care.

With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Michael P. O'Brien brings a wealth of experience to Tennova Orthopedics - LaFollette. He is a graduate of the esteemed Saint Louis University School of Medicine, completed his surgical residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, and served as a major in the U.S. Air Force during Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. O'Brien is well known for his proficiency in treating a wide array of orthopedic conditions, including knee joint injuries, bursitis, arthritis and more.
Dr. O'Brien provides care to patients age 10 and older. Dr. O'Brien performs a range of orthopedic care and procedures, including total joint replacement surgery, arthroscopy and fracture care. He uses both surgical and non-surgical approaches to treat sports injuries, arthritis and fractures.
